“ The 3 rd round of the UK 's highest profile Cross Country race series takes place this weekend and all systems are go for this off road motorbike spectacular.
With near 400 riders already booked in the event looks set to be an epic with once again the cream of Britain's XC and Enduro riders turning the pro line up into a who's who of the off road world.
David Knight, KTM's world conquering star will be pitting his wits against the best of the UK to try and make it 3 wins on the trot and take the coveted GBXC title. The Knighter will take on the likes of Tom Sagar and Simon Wakely, Both Sagar and Wakely are running in joint 2 nd place overall so any mistakes by DK will really open the series up and offer an exciting end to this class leading 4 round championship.
Hot News is the fact the Nate Kanney the KTM star from the GNCC series in America is hoping to ride the event and throw a very fast USA spanner in the works for the top Brit riders.
Kanney is over in the UK for the WEC and as long as a bike is sorted in time the young American star will be competing.
Darren Carter, Andrew Edwards, Ricky Mair, Tim Forman, Euan McConnell, Ashley Wood, Chris Hockey, Jamie Paget, Kev Murray, Gethin Price, Ollie Moyce, Lincoln Brewster and Ashley Greedy to name but a few make up that stunning pro line up.
Add to this the rest of the masses of dirt riders and families coming to the event for fun and a superb camping weekend in one of Wales 's most beautiful valleys and you can almost feel the excitement that is mounting.
The GBXC track construction team have been finalising the natural welsh circuit today and a long weeks work ahead will cumulate in a 7 mile lap that ranges from fast and flowing to slow and technical offering the committed riders a real XC challenge.
The venue is open to the public from Friday afternoon with FOC camping and quality catering and toilets on site.
Off road legend and now very good compare, Roger Harvey will be on hand to look after the commentating and carry out some rider interviews, some extremely pretty “Brolly Dolly's” will be on hand dish out the podium champagne and up to the minute results will be available.
