The UK's top two cross country race promoters Paul "Fast Eddy" Edmondson and Steve Ireland have joined forces to provide a high profile 4 round championship.

GBXC Rules for 2008

THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO ALL GBXC EVENTS

The following applies to all gbxc events

    1. All circuits must be approved by the clerk of the course.
    2. Fuel area must have all correct signage in place.
    3. Fuel area must be taped and marshalled.
    4. Strictly no smoking in re fueling area.
    5. Stricty no children or animals in re fueling area.
    6. Strictly no rider to re fuel with engine running.
    7. All lap scoring areas should be taped and marshalled and kept free of the general public.
    8. Fast fill fuel dumps are allowed.
    9. Fueling anywhere other than the pits will result in exclusion.
    10. All lapscoring and public areas to be walking pace for all riders. Non complience will result in exclusion.
    11. Any course cutting will result in exclusion.
    12. The events must be dead engine start.
    13. Riders classes at the start will  be seperated with 1-2 minute intervals.
    14. Dogs and animals must be kept on a leash at all times.
    15. No unsupervised children at any times.
    16. Camping is allowed at all gbxc events.
    17. Camp fires are not permitted.
    18. First aid team and ambulances shall have priorty parking at all events.
    19. The clerk of the course or deputy is responsible for opening and closing the lap of the circuit at the beginning and end of all events.
    20. All riders must sign on on the offical gbxc forms.
    21. Any junior riders must have parental/guardian consent form signed and witnessed.
    22. No rider under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be permitted to ride any gbxc event.

 

    1. All machines are to be maintained to a safe and suitable standard (riders responsibility).. Random checks to be carried out
    1. All machines should have the riders race number clearly visible on all 3 sides of the bike.
    2. No litter to be left on site.
    3. All riders must fit the p.p.e criteria of the gbxc risk assement and health and safety policy.
    4. Spectators must keep a safe distance from the circuit (signs to show this must be present on all entrances)
    5. No riding of bikes or machines anywhere on location except for the permitted track area.
    6. No riding of mini bikes or pit bikes at any venue.
    7. All riders to carry a fire extinquisher in fuel area.
    8. All riders to sign out of event if retiring for whatever reason.
    9. Enjoy the countryside but respect it more.
